RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTS
The latest human clinical study on
CardioTrim® studied the effects
of the proprietary CORE™ formula (found within the CardioTrim line)
on various parameters for weight loss and cardiovascular health. The
double-blind placebo-controlled study tested 123 overweight or obese
individuals over the course of 8 weeks. The obese subjects were divided
into three testing groups: CardioTrim plus diet (2100-2200kcal per
day), CardioTrim without diet, and Placebo group who also did not
follow a structured diet. The study protocol called for the subjects
who were taking the CardioTrim CORE formula to take one capsule
twice daily, and the placebo group took a placebo pill twice daily
as well. The data findings for the cholesterol parameters are as follows:
Cholesterol/Cardiovascular Support: Studies on our CardioTrim
CORE formula have looked at its role in reducing total
cholesterol
levels, triglycerides and lowering blood pressure. According to our latest
clinical research findings, the CORE ingredient formula demonstrated
significant effects on blood-fat metabolism in humans. Total
cholesterol in test subjects decreased by as much as 27%. Subjects’ LDL
(bad) cholesterol was lowered by as much as 32.4% and the HDL
(good) cholesterol increased by as much as 43%. Triglyceride levels
were also lowered by as much as 28%. Blood pressure indicators also decreased
by as much as 7.8-12.7%.
Did you Know?*:
- Reducing total cholesterol by a mere 3% can provide a 15%
reduction in the incidence of cardiovascular disease.
- About 34.5 million American adults (about 20% of the U.S.
population) have cholesterol levels of 240mg/dL or higher—the
point at which it becomes a major risk factor for coronary heart
disease or stroke.
- As blood cholesterol rises, so does risk of coronary heart
disease. A person’s cholesterol level is affected by age, sex,
heredity, and diet.
- Coronary heart disease is caused by arteriosclerosis—the
thickening or hardening of the coronary arteries. Coronary heart
disease is the single leading cause of death in America today.
- A heart healthy lifestyle which can help lower cholesterol
includes eating a diet lower in saturated fat and cholesterol,
getting 30-60 minutes of physical activity on most days, losing
weight if necessary, and quitting smoking.
- Each 1 percent reduction in LDL cholesterol levels results
in a 2-4% reduced risk for developing heart disease. Each 1
percent increase in HDL cholesterol levels reduces
cardiovascular disease risk by 2-3%. (United Soybean Board)
- Learning the facts about cholesterol, having regular
screenings, and working with healthcare professionals to set up
a plan can manage a person’s cholesterol levels, therefore
reducing a person’s risk for heart attack, heart disease, and
stroke.
- Substitutes for foods high in saturated fat & cholesterol:
- Fat free or 1% fat milk and dairy products, instead of
whole milk dairy products
- Low-fat cottage cheese, part-skim and low-fat cheeses,
instead of cheeses high in saturated fat
- Egg whites instead of eggs (egg yolks)
- Fish, poultry without skin, and lean beef cuts instead
of fatty ones.
- The FDA granted a health claim stating that 25g of
soy protein per day, as part of a diet low in saturated fat
and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.
