Vitamin B12Vitamin B12 is used in the CORE™ formula, the foundation of the entire
CardioTrim health
supplement line.
The B family of vitamins is water-soluble vitamins. This means that they
are excreted in the urine and can be quickly depleted from the body. When we
take more water-soluble vitamins than we need, small amounts are stored in
body tissue, particularly the liver, but most of the excess is excreted in
urine. Because they are depleted from the body so quickly, it is important
that we take supplements of the B vitamins in large daily amounts to
replenish these important vitamins in our body.
Vitamin B12 is a water soluble vitamin also known a
cyanocobalamin B12 functions in a wide variety of metabolic
processes including the metabolism of protein, fats, and
carbohydrates. Research on B12 shows it plays an important role in
cellular energy production. Bacteria only produce B12, so it is only
found in food products of animal origin and in some fermented
vegetable products such as tempeh and miso (fermented soybeans).
Eggs, organ meats, fish and milk are all good dietary sources of
B12.
B12 works
closely with another B vitamin, Folic Acid,
in reactions involved with DNA synthesis, blood cell formation,
nervous system maintenance and
heart health. Elevated plasma homocysteine concentrations are considered a risk factor for
cardiovascular disease and birth defects such as neural tube
defects. Recent studies have shown that plasma homocysteine can be
lowered by folic acid combined with vitamin B12. The combination of B12 with folic acid is significantly more
effective in reducing homocysteine levels than is Folic Acid alone.
The CardioTrim CORE formula contains these two unique and
patent-pending ingredients, Cissus and
AlbumaSoy™. The remaining ingredients
are a blend of Green Tea Extract,
Chromium Polynicotinate,
Selenium,
Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, and
Folic Acid.
Soy Labs’ two proprietary herbal extracts and other CORE
ingredients are blended to work synergistically for optimum
bioavailability and absorption by your body.
