Lunastatin from Soy Labs Selected
Third on Nutritional Outlook's Annual List
of Ingredients to Watch in 2007
As
Nutritional Outlook reports,
Lunastatin, a
chromatin-binding soy peptide developed by
Soy Labs may be a useful tool for
maintaining healthy cholesterol levels,
according to the results of a study
presented last October in Düsseldorf,
Germany, at the Fourth International
Conference on Soy and Health. “Lowering
cholesterol is key to maintaining heart
health,” says Ryan Schmidt, president of Soy
Labs. “While statin drugs have been somewhat
effective in that area, there is broad-based
concern that the risks outweigh the
benefits. We’re confident that all-natural
Lunastatin holds the key to lowering
cholesterol safely.”

From Heart to Hand:
Makers of CardioTrim Launch FlexCore
“There is no gain from the pain
experienced by millions of Americans when it
comes to arthritis and joint problems,
impacting lifestyles and quality of life,”
said Ryan Schmidt, President of Soy Labs.
“We saw a health need and developed a unique
approach, including soy, to address it.”
FlexCore is formulated with a new natural
compound of
cetylated fatty acid carbons,
boswellia and a
micronized soy complex. Cetylated fatty
acid compound is a patent-pending compound
of esterified fatty acid carbons (EFACs). It
has been shown to reduce inflammation and
pain without side effects. EFACs work at the
cellular level lubricating cell membranes
enhancing cellular fluidity and elasticity.
Fluids that cushion bones and joints are
also enhanced to promote greater flexibility
and mobility.

Scientists Discover Cholesterol-Lowering Component in Soy
Soy – is the little bean back in the cardiovascular health game?
Results of a study from Soy Labs, LLC confirm that it is.
Lunastatin™
(aka Lunasin), a chromatin-binding peptide derived from soy, appears
to be an active factor responsible for the LDL cholesterol-lowering
effect attributed to soy protein. Alfredo F. Galvez, Ph.D.,
Molecular Biologist at the NCMHD Center for Excellence in
Nutritional Genomics at University of California, Davis; Adjunct
Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri; and the study’s
lead researcher, presented his findings at the Fourth International
Conference on Soy and Health in Düsseldorf, Germany.

A Weightless
Wonder
New Study Demonstrates Weight Loss and Health Benefits of CardioTrim™
A new human clinical study has shown that
Cissus quadrangularis, a key ingredient in
Soy Labs’ CardioTrim™ product line, produces
significant weight loss, lowers blood sugar
and reduces total and LDL (bad) cholesterol.
Results of the double-blind,
placebo-controlled study were presented at
the First World Congress on Therapies
Against Obesity earlier this year in Paris.
